About
I build AI systems, and the checks that keep them honest.

I’m Ganesh Gunasegaran, GG to most people, a staff engineer at Fluxon based in Pondicherry, India. I have been building systems for 23 years: from porting WebSphere MQ in C, through payment platforms and live classrooms, to AI systems now. One question runs through all of it. Does this actually work, or does it only report that it does?
Learning is where I ask it hardest. A tool that does the work for you can hide the fact that you no longer can, so the systems I build for learning check what you still know when the tool is off.
Alongside engineering, I study classical Indian philosophy and write on the mechanics of attention, holding each old claim against what modern evidence can test.
What I build
Kalvi is the learning system I am building. It teaches what you want to learn so it lasts, measures what you can do with your tools and without them, and keeps a record you own.
Arivu is my personal agent, built on the Agent Client Protocol over a version-controlled markdown vault. It replaces the earlier agents that most of my posts about agents describe.
Viveka is an agent runtime that reasons by searching over explicit beliefs instead of chains of thought, with deterministic code checking what the model proposes.
Before these: IBM (WebSphere MQ on Tandem NSK, an SSL/TLS module in C), two companies of my own, merchant fintech at Lummo/BukuKas, AI and platform work at Turing, and now Fluxon. The timeline is on the resume, and the tools I use daily are on projects.
What I write
Essays on AI systems and agents, on the writing page. Four books, free on the books page: a short map of the six schools of Indian philosophy, two on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, and one on the Bhagavad Gita.
The mark
The mark is a Latin G drawn as one brush stroke around க, the Tamil letter my names begin with. GG, one initial in each script.
Work with me
I take on advisory work on AI systems: how to build them, and how to tell whether they work. Email is the fastest way to reach me.
